Easter on the east coast

Like anywhere in the world, when Easter weekend comes around in South Africa everyone gets in their cars and goes somewhere other than home.
I was no exception.

On Friday morning Pia, Nic and I took the three monsters to Noordhoek beach for a stroll.

Then I left for Struisbaai, on the east coast of the Western Cape, about 3 hours drive away. It took me four becasue I had to keep stopping for photo's. It was a beautiful night, the sun was setting behind me and the full moon was rising in front.

The site my family managed to get at the Struisbaai "caravan park" was right on the beach. I went to sleep with the sound of the sea in my ears every night - the little green tent at the back was mine.

Johannes did some fishing.

There was a lot of excitement on the beach during the day.

And I visited the southern most tip of Africa.
